Roy and Judy led a workshop with 30 participants at the University of Alberta’s Making Peace with the Land conference in November 2015. The workshop featured a talking circle, hands on experience with traditional medicinal plants, and education about First Nations-Settler history including Treaties, the Indian Act, the Sixties Scoop and residential schools.
The above photo was taken following the taking down of a tipi, led by Roy Louis, outside the U of A’s Augustana Campus to end the day. Roy was also the key advisor to the conference organizers on First Nations protocol.
